Sacramental Celebrations

The journey of faith begun at Baptism continues with the support of family and friends and the Church Community. Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School continues to support and nurture the Catholic faith in partnership with parents preparing children to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.

Children at Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School engage in learning about the Sacraments of Christian Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation; the Sacraments of Healing: Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick and, the Sacraments of Service: Marriage and Holy Orders from Foundation to Year 6.  This learning compliments the faith education provided by parents who are the first educators of their children in the faith (ref. CCC 2223, CCC 2226).

Within the Parish of Our Lady’s Craigieburn and Roxburgh Park baptised Catholic children are able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Year 3, the Sacrament of Eucharist in Year 4 and the Sacrament of Confirmation in      Year 6.

Sacrament of Reconciliation – Year 3

Parents are asked to continue to dialogue about the various learning opportunities provided at school and to share your own faith understandings about the sacrament with their child.

Families are required to attend the Parish Mass for the Reconciliation ‘Sign up Weekend’, and the school for a Reconciliation Child/ Parent workshop.

The Celebration of Reconciliation takes place during a week night at Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School.
