We are proud to be a 5 Star Sustainability school through ResourceSmart Schools, a Victorian Government program managed by Sustainability Victoria. Schools earn stars by completing modules and meeting benchmarks for resource use, and reaching 5 Stars recognises a school that has embedded sustainability in everything it does.
For our students, sustainability is part of everyday school life. Across our school, we work together to minimise waste, save energy and water, promote biodiversity and take action on climate change. Our Kitchen Garden program brings these lessons to life, as students grow, harvest and cook fresh produce while learning to care for the environment around them. Students take an active role in leading change, building the knowledge and habits to look after our planet at school, at home and in the wider community.
As a 5 Star school, we are also committed to celebrating our achievements, mentoring other schools and sharing how we have embedded sustainability across our school and community. We are proud of our whole school community, whose efforts have made this recognition possible, and we look forward to continuing to lead the way towards a more sustainable future.
