Religious Education is a rich, active, and meaningful journey that engages the hearts and minds of students from Foundation right through to Year 6. Rooted in the Catholic tradition while warmly welcoming students and families of all faith traditions and cultural backgrounds, our RE program creates an inclusive community where every voice is respected and valued.

Throughout their primary years, students engage with scripture, Catholic social teaching, liturgical seasons, and living Christian values through age-appropriate learning, critical thinking, creative arts, and reflective prayer. Through a shared exploration of universal values such as justice, compassion, peace, gratitude, and stewardship, all students are invited to make connections between their own lived experiences, personal beliefs, and the MACS curriculum.
Our learning sequences are scaffolded across year levels to meet students’ growing independence, connecting deep theological and ethical concepts to real-world contexts. By integrating the pedagogical framework of Gather, Listen, Respond, and Reflect, we create learning environments where students don’t just learn about faith, but actively explore its impact on our world.
As students progress from Foundation to Year 6, they develop key dispositions that help them grow as thoughtful, ethical global citizens:
- Faith in Action & Social Justice
- Inclusive & Welcoming Community
- Reflective Thinking & Prayer
- Scripture & Ethical Inquiry
Every lesson is intentionally designed to foster curiosity, build empathy, and invite every student – regardless of their faith background – to grow into a compassionate, responsible, and reflective member of our world.
