Our structured literacy sessions are purposefully designed to build strong foundations through the “Big Six” of reading; oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. During spelling and writing lessons, students are explicitly taught sentence level, paragraph level and text level writing skills, syntax, grammar, punctuation and morphology.
